  •   Amazing Grace!

    Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
    That saved a wretch like me!
    I once was lost, but now am found;
    Was blind, but now I see.

    ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
    And grace my fears relieved;
    How precious did that grace appear
    The hour I first believed.

    Through many dangers, toils and snares,
    I have already come;
    ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
    And grace will lead me home.

    The Lord has promised good to me,
    His Word my hope secures;
    He will my Shield and Portion be,
    As long as life endures.

    Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
    And mortal life shall cease,
    I shall possess, within the veil,
    A life of joy and peace.

    The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
    The sun forbear to shine;
    But God, Who called me here below,
    Shall be forever mine.

    When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
    Bright shining as the sun,
    We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
    Than when we’d
    first begun.

    It was Wednesday (09/14/05) around noon time, my mom called me in the office to tell me that both Tobe & Teddy were gone.  Our side gate was open, and the two dogs got out.  Helplessly, all I could do was to pray for their safety…hoping either they will come home later or someone may keep them.  Right after I got home in the evening, Garry & I drove around the neighborhood.  However, they were nowhere to be found.

    * * *

    It came Thursday, still there was no sign of my dogs.
    With much anxiety, I told one of my Christian co-worker.
    Fervently, she said, “you will find them.”
    Wow, that was quite an encouragement!
     I continued to pray for the dogs.

    Friday, of all the Fridays through the year, this is the Friday that I have to work!
    Why?  I wished I could take the day off to look for the dogs.
    Again, I could only lift them up to the Lord and ask for His protection over them.
    You may wonder why was I so worry about their safety.
    There are a lot of coyotes in the area, and they have attacked my neighbor’s dogs!

    After work on Friday, I made some ”LOST” flyers with Tobe & Teddy’s pictures.
    Many thanks to Jane & John.  Late Friday evening, they drove me around the neighborhood and posted those flyers.

    Saturday morning, Garry & I went to Pomona Humane Society (animal shelter).  Again, I didn’t see my dogs.  I went through the shelter’s “FOUND” list, they were not there either.  Then, I checked the DOA (Dead on Arrival) list, they were not there. At this point, I can only thank God that they were not in DOA list.

    Through the day, no one called about the dog.
    In fact, no one called my cell that day!
    Desperately, I cried out to Jesus and asked for His amazing grace to bring the dogs back to me.

    * * *

    Sunday morning at church, I cried out to Jesus again.  There was nothing I can do but pray.
    Early afternoon while I was feeding Seraphina with baby food, my cell phone rang.
    I got very excited, and I knew my dogs are coming home.
    Surely, it was a phone call of good news.  A family who lives about 1/4 miles from my house has the dogs.  Immediately, I dropped what I was doing and went to pick up the dogs. (Sorry Seraphina.  I just remembered now…I got too excited that upon my return, I forgot to “continue” to feed her).

    * * * * *

    Looking back in life, it wasn’t just “once” that I was lost.  I can just imaging the joy of my Heavenly Father upon my every return.

    What can I say?
    I can only give Him praises & thanks for
    He is Wonderful.

  • …from Baby Fish Angel… to… Little Fish Angel…

    Originally, I was going to post some more pics from Chicago & Wisconsin trip…but I felt the urge to share about angeles in my life here.

    Does anyone recognize this little angel here?

    About 10 years ago I received this little gift of picture/drawing from a girl in my Sunday Worship class.  Carefully, I put it in a cleared file jacket and posted it in my bedroom.  At that time, I was going through some extreme heart-aching growing pain.  Many times I had to stared at this picture to remind myself of God’s love for me, and it really comforted me.

    Today, this little girl has grown to be a beautiful young lady, ready to be sent off for college.  I do pray for His covering and protection over her…and many other little angels that He has placed in my life…

    …for those who are going to college,
       let us always remember to worship our Father…

    …for those who are still in college,
       let us always remember to give Him praises…

    …for those who are entering adulthood,
       let us always remember that Jesus is the Lord…

    she is still a little angel to me..

  • …NEXT TO CHICAGO…

    Yeah Andy, it’s really nice here in the Summer.  The weather is just perfect…what a blessing!

    Ok, I have checked out of the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Chicago and moved into this Comfort Suite in Schiller Park next to Chicago O’Hare Airport.  I’ll be here alone by myself for another day to wait for mom, Garry & the girls’ arrival.  Guess what?  This hotel is located right next to Schiller Park Library, where I am sitting here updating my xanga.

    Mommy Bonnie & Aunt Laurie drove me here from the City this morning, and we had brunch together at a restaurant next to the hotel.  They have took off already…on their way back to the cow country, Wisconsin.  This town is very different from Chicago Downtown….its like a little country area that you don’t see any Asian around here.  Across the street from the hotel is just a huge empty field with nothing by tall grass.  However, I am able to see airplanes take off & landing from my room.

    After I’m done updating my xanga & checking my e-mail, I’ll walk down to the market & buy some milk for Anaka…and Garry.  Garry loves fatty milk, so I’ll let him drink his fatty milk during the trip.  (Couple months ago, I started to restrict him to drink LOW FAT milk only).

    Below are some more pictures to share.   Jane, the pictures are blurry because I’m using my cell phone camera instead of digital camera.  I didn’t bring the cable for the digital camera.

    This is the Comfort Suite that I am staying.

    Across the street from the Comfort Inn is this Schiller Park Library.

    To the left is where I’m sitting to update my Xanga.

    Alright, I’ll give you more update tomorrow!  It’s time to go grocery shopping for the family.

  •  CHICAGO!

    Just went for a short city walk at downtown Chicago.  I even walked through the Magnificent Mile of Michigan Avenue (great shopping district where all the brand name stores are located) here and did not spend a penny.  Last night the taxi driver gave me a short tour of the City, but warned me not to bring my credit card if I want to go to Michigan Avenue.  It’s a very nice metro city, and I really enjoy my staying here…..I even called Garry & ask him if he would like to move over here…heehee.

    Can you believe it?  It only cost me $10.30 for breakfast, lunch & dinner today.  What a deal!  Tomorrow night, I plan to go enjoy the famous CHICAGO PIZZA.  Want a piece?

  • Precious moments…

    Looking back at times…reminds me of John 3:16, “for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, and whomsoever believed in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.”

    What a wonderful life!

  • Wow, it has been a few weeks since I last wrote anything here.

    A lot of things happened…feel like time flies TOO FAST for my brain to catch up!  Life is so different after becoming a mom…never have time for self but always available for others.  Come to think of it, it’s all by God’s grace, I can still find joy in this selfless life style!

    If you ask me why?  just look at these four princesses of my life…you’ll know why.
